New Program Consult
Many institutions are exploring Adult ECMO programs or some variation of Adult extracorporeal support . There are also pediatric institutions needing to add ECMO to their Critical Care Services programs.
ECMO Advantage offers a two day on site consult designed to assist such institutions in this process. ECMO Advantage has extensive knowledge in extrcorporeal support for all ages and disease processes typically supported with ECMO and CRRT. Our ECMO Advantage Specialists include professionals who have facilitated consultation and training for new programs, provided expert legal consultation, and led advancements in premiere ECMO programs across the United States.

Two Day Site Visit
ECMO PROGRAM CONSULT (This may be our most valuable service.) ECMO Advantage provides consultant services designed to assist with new program initiation. This generally involves a two-day site visit by our ECMO Advantage Specialist(s) and is most valuable if performed EARLY in the process of developing your ECMO Program. We can help streamline the processes involved in establishing your program saving your institution valuable time, money and resources that may otherwise be wasted in the process.
During a site visit our ECMO Advantage team would want to talk to anyone involved in or potentially interested in an ECMO program. Our Specialists would tour your facility to evaluate and make suggestions related to equipment/space issues as well as any clinically pertinent space/distance issues related to caring for your ECMO patients. The ECMO Advantage Specialists would evaluate ECMO equipment and circuit selection and design as well as all the supplies that will be needed for ECMO support.
The information gathered by the ECMO Advantage Specialists will be compared to ELSO Guidelines to assess your readiness to support ECMO patients. ECMO Advantage Specialists will then prepare a report for your team to help guide you through the process of developing or enhancing a quality ECMO program.
More detailed assistance can be provided with Policies and Procedures, Order Sets, ECMO Flow Sheet, checklists, or other forms related to ECMO for an additional fee following the consult report. ECMO Advantage is willing to assist with as little or as much of the process as your team would like.

Successful ECMO programs consistently reevaluate processes and practices. Put the vast experiences of ECMO Advantage to work for your patients through evaluation of your program. In addition to full program analysis, ECMO Advantage can aid in review of specific events and/or review of cases for legal consult.
